Trip out the old upstream README and replace it with:

  • Why we forked (ninfer-3090: /v1/models auto-detect, reasoning_content, reasoning_effort + bounded 503 retry, timeout fix, nix flake)
  • How to run it with Nix (nix run / flake input / dev shell / flake check)
  • Pointer to https://github.com/Bent-Solutions/hermes-bench for non-Nix workflows
